Chevrolet Repair: clutch issues, clutch master, clutch pedal

Question
Recently we replaces the master and slave cylinder on our
clutch in our 84 s10, 1.9 4 cylinder 2WD. We bled the clutch
multiple times by book directions and are still having
problems. The problem we are having is when we start the
truck clutch and brake in it still wants to move. Also when
we are driving and come to a stop you cannot get it into
first gear. Im not sure where to go from here since the
lever in the tranny is moving the 1/2 or more that is the
requirement. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hi Jenn... You still have air in the clutch slave, they are extreamly hard to bleed.... here is one way to try....push rod for slave all the way in and hold there, open bleeder screw and have someone push on the clutch pedal slowly.. do not alow the push rod to move out. do this a couple times untill you have no air in the fluid...close bleeder fill the clutch master then slowly allow the rod to come out till it hits the push rod for the realese bearing...that should fix your problem....remember never let the clutch master get too low on fluid...hope this helps
