Chevrolet Repair: front end noise, cv shafts, scorce

Question
Hello, I have a 94 chevy k2500 , I put new rotors brakes ,and CV shafts on the front end . Ever since I did this after just a few miles of driving  I hear  a cluncking sound  at low speeds 25 mph or less. The sound alternates from side to side . I checked the actuator it's working . It does it in 2hi,4hi and 4low. Any thoughts.
Thank you for what you do.

Answer
Hi Mark... well there is a pile of things that could cause front end noise. first check calipers and see that they are mounted secure. check that the cv shafts are seated in their scockets.( grab and shake them) see if they didn't pop apart when you installed them (inside the boots) Jack up the front end and turn by hand and see if you can narrow down the scorce of the noise.. hope this helps
