Chevrolet Repair: chevy 350,5.7 v8 k1500 pickup, crank shaft, flood problem

Question
Hi, I was moving my pickup when it just stopped and as not fired since, I have put it on a computer which came up with a crank shaft sensor which I have replaced retested with the computer and now I get no faults come up,still no firing,I have checked the spark which is strong, the computer checked each injector we heard the fuel pump pump and the injector click in, The plugs are as dry as a bone we think it is fuel, the pump which is inside the tank was replaced 4 months ago plus the filter 2 months ago, we have not checked the fuel pressure yet( hard to find a tester for the chevy in UK) but the book says 60-66psi does it need this pressure to open the injectors up? i was thinking it is the regulator but am not sure where it is?, or the module in the distributor does this control anything to do with the fuel regulator?, can I spray starter fluid in the throttle body to check for it firing as I have been told this could blow the inlet manifold? any information would be helpful as getting parts or information is hard to get in the UK also I am told that the pickup came from Canada if this makes a difference
Thank you, Rob

Answer
Hi Rob... you don't say what year it is so i will just guess... if you have spark and you can hear fuel pump come on for 3 seconds i would think it would be a fuel delevery problem...undo fuel line at the inj rail. turn on key, use hose on the line end to a bucket..you should have a really strong fuel spray... if not you need to check the pump pressure...if pressure seems good. get a can for air intake cleaner...use it like starter fluid...spray in the intake and try to start. if it fires then i would once again check fuel pressure. if under 60 psi ...inj will not open...if over you may have a flood problem. and it may stay running once you get it going on the air intake cleaner...if all is ok and still won't go if my year guess is right the pressure regulator is in the fuel rail. try pinching off the vacum line to it that should increase fuel pressure...if it runs with line pinched then you will need to replace fuel pressure regulator....hope this help... Merry christmas
