Chevrolet Repair: 1997 1500 truck, losing connection, football practice

Yes,  My son has this truck, and for whatever reason it just will not start.  It will go weeks fine, then all of the sudden the engine will not turn over.  This past week, it would not start when he got ready to leave football practice, then goes back the next day and it starts right up.  The fuel pump was replaced last summer.  Any ideas?

Hi Annette... i have seen that before....it could be one of a couple of problems...check the connections at the battery, starter and power control distrubition box for corrosion...somewhere in the start system you are losing connection and usually from a bad connection...also check all the engine to chassie grounds...for the same problem....hope this helps....
