Chevrolet Repair: 95 chevy lumina, chevy lumina, car wont start

hi, i just bought a 95 chevy lumina from a friend of a friend, i was told that the car's remote starter need to be remove in order for it to run properly.. i didn't understand b/c the car seem to turn on just fine when i turn the ignition. couple days later the batteries went dead and i had to buy a new one from auto zone and the car ignite just fine but later found out that's not the case, i have trouble turning it on sometimes.. the radio would come on, the lights comes on but the car wont start, sometimes it starts and sometimes it wont few minutes or hours later it starts again and when i turn it off and try to turn it back on.. it wont, it's to the point where i'm afraid of turning the car off b/c i fear that i'd be stuck again calling for help - please i really need help, i have school comming up and working and i can't deal with this, wht can i do -  any suggestion would be so greatly appreciated thank you oh sovery much

You will really need to remove that remote start.  It sounds as if the module is faulty and keeping ignition voltage to the ignition switch when it shouldn't.  This is a common issue after replacing the battery as it will lock up the remote start module.  Also check to see if you have power at the starter when this happens.  If you have power and won't crank it's a faulty starter.  if you don't have power, check the relay, if still no power at the relay its gonna be that remote start
