Chevrolet Repair: AC Recharge, chevy venture, hi tim

Question
Hi Robert,
It's nice to see someone from Ontario on this site.  Anyway, my question is as follows:  I own a 98 Chevy Venture and recharged the AC myself last year using one of those Wal-Mart recharge kits.
Dura-Cool was the coolant that I used.  It worked fine for some time(about a year).  This year it's running warm again.  I checked the pressure on the unit and it seems fine.  The compressor is working as well.  I can't seem to figure out why the system isn't working with those two things being in check.  Do you have any thoughts on the subject?

Thanks,
Tim

Answer
Hi Tim....the trouble with r134a is that it doesn't cool like freon and after a while from being compressed it loses some of its cooling ability...try putting in a can of redtech coolentalthough pressure may be ok it may just need a top up... hope this helps
