Chevrolet Repair: 99 Chevy Blazer Oil Cooler Line Replacement, chevy blazer, oil filter housing

Question
I'm replacing one of the engine cooler lines (Dorman 625-001) on my 99 Chevy Blazer (4.3L V6, 4WD, 2-door). I got the bolts out of the front (attaching it to the oil filter housing), the rear (with a 14" extension and deep well 13mm socket), and the center holding bracket. Now the problem: I can't get the rear of the oil hose fitting out. The gap between the differential (?) and engine block (?) is too tight. Now I'm hosed (no pun intended). HELP? It looks like the solution requires pulling the engine... surely not?!?!?

Answer
Hi Brett.. is this line you are removing the one you are replacing... if it is and is no good just cut it to remove... route the new line differently....if you cut the line right at the fitting you should be able to get a deep scoket on it to remove the fitting.... hope this helps
