Chevrolet Repair: 1990 camaro rs not starting, wire connections, turning the key

Question
I have a 1990 Camaro RS with a 3.1L. When I turn the key nothing happens, not even a click. All my lights, the horn, and the fuel pump work.  I get about 12 volts and when I turn the key I don't lose any voltage and the light don't dim. The water temp gage tacks out only when turning the key to the starting position. I got the starter checked and it is still working great. Would you happen to know what is wrong?
                    thanks,

Answer
Hi Mike.... check the park switch... is the car all the way in park...try starting in N...if it wont go try checking for power on the trigger wire at the starter when the key is in start. if no power check the park switch. i assume it is an automatic. if it is a stick check the clutch switch....check for power to the switch and comming out..if you have no power to the starter trigger comming from the switch then replace the switch. make sure you check all battery and wire connections for corrosion. make sure you check all fuseable links.... hope this helps
