Nissan Repair: Engine Wont start, neutral safety switch, transmission model

Question
I have a 92 sentra.  The engine won't start.  Whne I turn the key nothing happens, no clicking nothing.  I had the battery checked and it is fine.  Had it towed to a mechanic and he started it right away, turned it off, and started right up again.  What do think is the problem?

Answer
Wes,

It could be the neutral safety switch is going out and needs replacement.  You could remove the neutral safety switch on an automatic or the clutch switch on a manual transmission model and wire around it.  Then, if the car starts you will have found your problem.   Otherwise, it is probably the starter going out.
