i have a 2003 chevy suburban with a check engine code of p0101 and it will not pass inspection until i get it taken care of
i would like to do the repairs myself. the vehicle has no problems that we can see or hear

Hi Matt,

 A P0101 is a MAFF sensor code. The MAFF sensor measure the the incoming air and translates it to a Grams per second reading so the computer knows how to manage the fuel ratio.
 You could remove and clean the MAFF sensor with air system intake cleaner.  It is not always recommended to clean MAFF sensors but you are setting a code anyways so it wouldn't hurt.  If you clear the code and it comes right back it is most likely the MAFF sensor that is the problem.
