Nissan Repair: 94 Maxima Water Pump Replacement, timing chain cover, water pump replacement

Could you give me a hint where the pump is located? Can it be changed without dealing with the timing chain cover?

The pump is inside the timing cover and to the front of the engine.  Look low and to the front and you will see the access point.  If you have never done one take it to a professional as the tension on the chain has to be released to get the pump out and then released to get the chain back on the pump.  A difficult task...  There is an access cover so the entire cover does not have to come off.  But, the front tire, inner fender well and such have to come off to get access.
