Chevrolet Repair: 1979 Chev K10 Heater/AC system, fuse block, ac system

Question
Hello, I have been trying to get the heating system in the truck I recently purchased to blow. The blower works when I connect a hot lead direct from the battery, but not on any of the speeds through the controller. I have the dash currently apart and have tested for voltage at both the fan speed switch and the other factory plug to the controller itself with none at either. I am not sure which fuse would be the one on the block(writing on fuse block not legible) but all slots have new fuses. The truck originally had air conditioning. but the pump has been removed if that makes a difference.I don't see any in line fuses, but a relay is on the engine side of the heater system, but have not checked and not sure how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.I know how to run a toggle switch, but don't want it rigged, prefer to have it run properly.

Answer
Hey,
Sorry it is taking me too long to answer today.  My son's Hockey team is in playoffs and game 5 of the first round is tomorrow!  I am the Coach, extra practice, busy shop, busy schedule, family man and no limit on questions keeps me busting my butt!!!
Pull the fan speed resistor and closely look at the coils for rust and corrosion.  If you would like a step by step testing instructions make a new query and I will show you on a wiring diagram in the morning.
