Chevrolet Repair: Oil in my Throttle Body!!!, silverado 4x4, chevrolet silverado

Question
Dear sir,
   My truck is a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 w/ 350 TBI motor.
I have oil deposits all over my injectors and inside in my throttle body and I can't think of what is causing it.  I know this sounds stupid, but I have taken great pride in keeping my engine up and pretty lookin'.  I have noticed that the truck also has lost a little power on the up and go.  It is eating a "little" (sarcastically) oil and the mileage sucks. I would appreciate any help with this problem.  I have tried to figure it out, but it's just killing me.  I put a new hose from the drivers side cover to the back of the spacer plate, but the oil is coming in through that and is killing me.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Answer
Hey,

You need to check the PCV system.  Install a new valve andmake sure there is good vacuum at the tube that runs to it.  They typically get plugged solid from sucking hydrocarbons all day long.  Its like eating 6 cheeseburgers in the morning with extra cheese and bacon and then deepfrying the whole thing in batter made from animal fat.
