Chevrolet Repair: Question on injection pump changeout, electronic conversion, complete wiring

I have a 94 chevy 6.5 turbo that I'm considering replacing the injection pump with the one in my 95 6.5 turbo. 95 is electric, 94 is mechanical. Any reason it will not work? I have the complete wiring harness etc. from 95. Thanks for your time. P.S. I,m was born and raised in northern MN.but I'm sure glad I got wise and moved down to south Texas to enjoy the weather this time of the year. It's sunny and 88 degrees today.  I know an individual who has swapped out both pumps and had a fairly good time putting the mechanical one in but didn't succeed with the electronic conversion.  I think the amount of time taken was getting out of control with the PCM and wiring.
