how do I change the serpentine belt on a 1994 chevy astro?
where can I find, on-line a diagram of that engine? or at least the pulley configuration

 Before you take the belt off take a piece of paper and draw all the pulleys approximately where they are on the vehicle and then draw a line around them like the belt is on it.  Now you have a diagram of your own.
 The tensioner is on the drivers side beside the alternator on a 4.3.  Put a wrench on the bolt that is on the pulley and lift up.  Scoot the belt around the idler pulley and then you have to guide it around the pump and fan.  Reverse to install but I like to put them on the alternator pulley last.
