Chevrolet Repair: 94/95 lt1 motor swap, lt1 motor, radiator cooling fans

Question
Hello  I have a 92 camaro with a v-6 i would like to have a LT1 under the hood i dont know if it would fit or not or what needs to be done to make the swap successful or will it drop right in? All your help and info would be greatly appreciated Thanks Will Holland

Answer
It would cost you less grief, time and money to go out and purchase one already equipped with a 5.7TPI.  You could do some really nice fancy upgrades with the money you saved.
In all reality it can be done though.  Be prepared to find the donor motor and transmission, wiring harness, computer and sensors, motor and transmission mounts, shifter linkage, radiator, cooling fans.  And it doesn't stop there.  The front springs need to be replaced due to the extra weight and the rest of the car is a V6 car.  All of the parts from brakes to exhaust have a 6 or 8 option.  You will find the car might not handle the extra torque properly or stabilize properly.
Sorry to be a bummer, it can be done but its not a simple or inexpensive task.
