Chevrolet Repair: 2001 Chevy Prizm suddnely wont run, 2001 chevy prizm, chevy prizm

A couple days after returning from vacation, I had to use my car again. My car started but then would die a couple seconds later, not idleing. There was no problem I noticed from the last time driving my vehicle. What should I check first and what most likely is the problem?

Check fuel pressure at the guage hook up.  

Could be vapor locked (remove the fuel cap and see if it runs).  Could be fuel pump (listen for it to run).  Could be bad fuel filter.  

Be happy the car made it home before it broke down.  I give a car a lot of credit that doesn't break down on the road.
