Hi there I had a mechanic look at it today and they say the fuse Block needs replaced. I was wondering
A. Is it a hard part to replace?
B. How much would the part alone cost me?
C. How much do you feel the labor would cost.
Thanks alot I appreciate any answer at all.

Answer
At first glance, the 4D fuse block had me.  What is that???  Then I realized you are saying you have a 4 door.  It's late.

Why is this bad??  What does the truck do??  I imagine you smoked a circuit.  If so, why???  Fixing the fuse box may not fix the cause of it's failure.

A.  It is in an awkward place.  Under the dash.  You will be on your back.

B.  Part could vary, depending where you get it.  I would go to a junk yard for late model cars.  A mechanic will probably want a warrantied part.  So that means NEW.

C.  Labor is based on time and awkwardness of location.  Probably a few hours.  What does your mechanic charge per hour?  A dealer could be upwards of $90 per hour.  I would charge $25 per.

This is not a difficult job if you have mechanic ability.  Try it yourself.  But if you are leery of it, don't start the job and then take it in.  That may cost more in labor.
