well my first qoestion my van started acting up aftrte my father in law did the tune on the van i mean he is a mechanic but he did the tune wires spark plugs rotor distributor cap after that the fuel pump went out so i replaced it  aftert hat it was running good after a month and a half  i was running an errand then i went back home to get somthing so i just stopped in my front driveway and all of a sudden the van turned off i tried stating it up but nothing it turned over but it would not start i check to see if the fuel pump made a hum noise checked it is working i released a fule line to see if fuel would come out and it did so fuel pump is working thenm i put starting fluid in my  air intake and it started right up but then died on my so thats where i am at please help family van really need it thank you whats my next step from here dont have alot of money too spend on shop repairs

You are not getting fuel.  Try loosening the gas cap and see if that helps.  Today's cars have no vents on the tank that don't have something to regulate the amount of ventilation.  One of these systems may have failed.  Loosening the cap stops a vapor lock.  

If that doesn't do it, suspect a fuel pump regulator.  Get a fuel pressure tester and see what delivery you have.  Should be about 50 psi.  Too low means weak pump or too much bypass.  Bypass is regulated by the regulator.  

Then suspect EGR issues.

If these don't do it, write back and we can try more things.
