Chevrolet Repair: error code #3, continuity resistance, wiggle test

Question
Hi, I got an error code 77 on my 94' camaro V6 3.4L and I was wondering what I should do to fix it? Can I just replace the solenoid #3, do I have to replace them all or anything else that I should to to fix the problem? Thanks

Answer
Hello Wilson,
The EGR on that has three solenoids, which open individually, or in combinations, according to what the ECM wants done at the time.
Apparently your ECM is getting some out of range feedback from one of the solenoids.
This could be from improper resistance in the solenoid winding itself, like from a internal short or open in the winding, but it could also be from a bad connection or wire problem.
I would do the wiggle test first, and then proceed to an ohm meter check. Compare each of the three solenoids. The continuity/resistance readings should be similar for all three.
