Steering Column Repair: F-250 steering column, salvage yards, f 250

Question
It sounds like it will be more cost effective to replace my steering column in my 89 F-250 rather than fix the actuator rod.
What years will interchange with an 89 F-250 2 wheel drive with a 460 automatic?

Answer
The website link I sent you can show you all that.  I have no idea what interchanges apply to all the vehicle made, but the salvage yards all do.  That's what this website is for.  Once you enter the year make and model and part you are looking for it will provide you with all of the interchange information and the salvage yards that have them along with the price.

Hi Rich:

It's totally up to you which way you go.  I would repair what I have, knowing the rest of it is ok & not having to deal with the rusted shafts under the hood, but that's me.
For used parts...Try this site.  You may be able to find what you need.

It's the website all the salvage yards use when they say "Hang on--let me see if my other yard has it".  Actually it's an online database of all the salvage yards in America.  You can search by part, location or price
