Chevrolet Repair: 90 chevyxtdcab4x4 starting problem, steering column, solenoid

Question
Curtis, my truck would start and run fine.... as soon as I shut it off, it wouldn't start again for a while. NO clicking not even trying to engage.  I replaced the starter with new solenoid, new battery, new electronic ign. module cap and rotor.  Still hasn't fixed it~  Now... my truck wont even start at all.  I turn the key and some of the gauges move.....that is all... no cranking no clicking.

Answer
Well it sounds to me that your ignition switch might not be making all the contacts. I haven't had the privilege to actually tear into one of those so I can't tell you for sure but there should be little white box on top of the steering column. Your going to have to drop the column to get to it and it's fairly easy and cheap to replace. But I think the ignition switch is the culprit here.
