Chevrolet Repair: 2000 impala overheating, yes air, model cars

Question
how do I get cooling fans to work? have replaced fans, temp sensor, relays. fuses are good! no white smoke or milky oil. are there temp sensors with lower temp rating to cut on fan at a lower temp? would air in the system cause fans not to come on? and, can I have a radiator pressure check performed with radiator still on vehicle? thanks paul

Answer
Paul,
The older model cars used to run better on cooler engines. These engines require the temperatures to reach 200+ degrees F.
Yes, air in the system would play into this. Look for a possible bleeder screw around the thermostat.
Yes, there is a tool they make to test the radiator pressurized while in the vehicle
