Chevrolet Repair: winshield wiper park position wrong, park position, winshield wiper

Question
I installed a new wiper motor on a 97 chevy s-10 blazer, by removing 3 bolts, then pulling motor out of hole to get to shaft bolt. When I put this back in I connected the gold plate to the shaft and tightened the nut. Problem is, when the wipers come to their PARK position, they are in the full up position. Do I need to remove arms and adjust or pull motor back out and find the right spot to start again ?Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike, Remove the motor and disconnect the arm from the motor again. Now put the wiper arms down to the park position and then plug the motor in and run in low then turn off. Now install the motor again, this should correct the park position.
