Chevrolet Repair: fuel problem 1993 chevrolet pick-up 1500, V8, 5Liter, fuel filter, fuel pump

Question
Truck began to bog & sputter & eventually died.  I towed it home and replaced the fuel filter first but, the truck would not start. I then replaced the fuel pump and the truck started. However, after a couple of miles of test driving, the bogging down began again (particularly during acceleration). I do not know if this truck has a relay or sensors which might be causing this. What do you suggest?

Answer
Hi Robert, This sounds like the exhaust is restricted. This would the cat-con that has gone bad. To test for this to be the problem you need to either disconnect the y pipe from the manifold on one side or remove a 02 sensor. The pipe is a better way but if you know what your looking for the 02 is also a good way.

Let me know what you find
