Hyundai Repair: Rain makes car useless, hyundai accent, humidity level

Question
2000 Hyundai Accent. Whenever it rains afterwards the car I guess missfires. Chugging along then stopping cold, but it sometimes runs fine then throws out chugs then runs fine then stops. Other than that it's fine on dry days. Is there something that I can seal to stop this from happening?

Thanks

Answer
Typically, misfires caused by most weather are due to problems with the secondary ignition system (spark plugs, plug wires, coil).  It's not so much that something is leaking, but that the humidity level is high enough to make the air more conductive, thus making it easier for undesired arcing to occur.

Normally, a misfire would cause the check engine lamp to illuminate.  If your check engine lamp has been coming on, you can have your diagnostic trouble codes read and learn more about the nature of the problem.  Misfire codes are of the form P030x where x is the number of the misfiring cylinder.  P0300 indicates a misfire on multiple cylinders.
