Chevrolet Repair: 2003 Chevrolet Impala Passenger Power Window, chevrolet impala, don don

The passenger window of my 2003 Chevrolet Impala seems to have come off track.  It will roll up about half way and stop.  How can I fix this?

Hi Don,

Don't force it.  YOu can bend something inside.  You will need to remove the door panel.  Probably a guide wheel came off because of binding.  They get worn.  

May need to loosen an adjustment on a track guide to realign the wheel.  I would replace it first if this is what happened.  

Other things could have caused this.  Once the door panel is off, it should be obvious.  

Not too bad of a job.
