Chevrolet Repair: manually opening rear glass on a c 4 corvette, glass hatch, rear glass

i have a 1986 c 4 corvette with dead electrics in certain
areas,one of which is the system that opens the rear glass
hatch.  my question: how can i open the glass manually?

Hi Joe,

You will have to climb into the rear, from the front.  Pull off the panel on the drivers side of the car.  You should see a cable with a handle on it.  Pull it and the hatch will release.  If it is not on that side, it is on the passenger side.  

Do you not have a key hole anywhere for the hatch?
