Chevrolet Repair: oil smells like gas, dip stick, motor oil

My motor oil on my dip stick smells like gasoline I am
this is not normal or good. My truck is a 93' chevy s-10,
2 wd, 6 cyl 4.3L w/90,000 mi.

as long as the oil isnt really thin, there is nothing wrong with the smell. you will always have some fuel bleed down from the clyinder. the rings on the piston arent solid. so i have to say its not a bad thing, like i said, unless the oil is really thinned down. in that case, you have a ring problem. good luck.
