Chevrolet Repair: 96 k1500 rough idle, throttle plate, throttle body

Question
after the truck reaches operating temperature. when i come to a stop the check engine light will come on and the truck will idle low. then when i go to take off i have to push hard on the gas pedal. then the pedal "breaks"loose and the truck drives fine again until i slow down and the rpm's drop then the pedal feels like its stuck again.
after that the problem will go away for a month or so and then its back. thanks for the help!!!!

Hello Josh,
Inside the throttle body, there is a throttle plate that opens and allows air to enter the engine.
That throttle bore can get some carbon in it, and the throttle plate can stick just like you describe.
Spraying some carb/pcv valve cleaner in the throttle bore should clean it up.
