Chevrolet Repair: 1998 Chevrolet s10, fuel pressure regulator, chevrolet s10

What will make a 1998 chevrolet s10 4.3 bog when you accelerate fast? (driving and in park)when you accelerate slow it run  fine. I changed the fuel pressure regulator, made no differance. fuel press. 65psi.with pump running and 56psi. key on pump off. Some times I get a 0101b performance code.

I would start by checking codes. I don't understand the code you gave me. They start with a P.

Recheck fuel pressure. Should have around 60psi to 66psi. Accelerate the engine, does the fuel pressure drop too low when the bog acts up. If yes, check the gas filter for being restricted. Fuel pump can also be weak and not delivering enough fuel on hard accel.

A restricted catalytic convertor will also cause poor acceleration.

You stated that you replaced the fuel pressure regulator? Do mean the on that's part of the central sequential fuel injection unit?
