Chevrolet Repair: Question for ya, fuse box, fuel pump

Question
Its not a tranny question but, my fuel pump stays on when truck is turned off and keys removed. i replaced the relay and it didn't help. any ideas on what else it may be?

Answer
i need to know what year, make and model it is to give you a good guess on that. also, does it run all the time, or for a brief amount of time after you turn the truck off?   without that info, im going to have to say i ran accross that once or twice before. i would want to find out why that relay is being commanded on. try this. take that relay and switch it out with another one in your fuse box. does the pump stop pumping? if not, then the relay is not the problem. i know you just replaced it, but ive gotten defective ones right out of the box. here you are doing what is known as switching with a known good relay.another good place to start is the ignition switch. you need to check the wire that feeds the pump circuit when the key is on. if its hot at all times, you got a bad switch. any more questions, let me know.
