Chevrolet Repair: PCM, chevy silverado, exhaust leaks

Question
I had a check enging lite come on with my 2001 Chevy Silverado 5.3.  I bought a code reader and am getting a P1416 code which says, "Secondary Air Injection System Switching valve B circuit open".  Does that mean I have a check valve stuck in the air injection system going to the right manifold or is it an electrical circuit open that operates the airpump, vacuum valve, solenoid relay or shut off valve? I erased the code in the PCM and it has not came back on yet but I have not driven it very far since I reset it. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Howard, No this code could be a few things that have happened. You need to run down through the flow chart to figure out which part is bad.
I would make sure the the EGR valve is clean on the bottom side and that there are no exhaust leaks around the EGR valve.

Other than this you need to have someone follow the charts.
