Chevrolet Repair: 94 Silverado k1500, pressure tester, autozone

Question
Truck has been stalling out, just had the catalytic converter replaced (did not pass smog). Seemed to run when I left the shop but went to test drive again and it backfires and then stalls out while driving.  Do you think a tune up would solve the problem or could it be in the fuel system/pump?

The only way to know on the fuel pump, is connect a fuel pressure tester, and go for a ride, so you can see the tester during the problem.
Autozone will probably loan you a fuel pressure tester.
Might just be a dirty filter.
I would test it before just replacing the filter.
