Chevrolet Repair: starter out of a 1993 chevy s-10, support bracket, chevy

What is the easiest way to get a starter out of a 1993 chevy s-10 with a 2.8 v6 engine? Also has 101,000 miles. Any way would be helpful, thank you.

Ricky....If i am not mistaken you will have to remove the ''lower cover'' on the transmission. If the vehicle is 4 wheel drive the cover may be aluminum and require a little ''shifting ''around to move it far enough to get the starter past it. You will find that you have to remove the support bracket from the rear of the starter if someone hasn't already. Then you have to play ''Twister'' to sneak it out......Best
