Chevrolet Repair: Auto door locks., rear tailgate, fuse box

Question
I have an alarm system on my 1994 K2500 Suburban. I didn't drive it for several weeks and the battery went dead. After recharging it everything was back to normal but my keyless entry and automatic door locks don't work. I can hear clicking in the fuse box area when I push the unlock but nothing happens and no noise when I press the lock button. Do you have any idea what happened? Strange thing too is I was sitting with the acc on listening to the radio and out of the blue the locks triggered and all locked. The rear tailgate door resets to lock on its own. Please help me. I am single mom and don't have the money to mess with paying someone else. I am a pretty good Jackie of all trades but this ones got me. Any help would be so awesome. Thanks - Margo

Answer
Hello Margo,
I don't know if this will help you or not, but it is cheap, and might fix it.
Disconnect the battery for about a minute.
I have had trucks that seem to get mixed up when the battery goes dead, and is then recharged without totally disconnecting it.

If your radio is a DelcoLock system, using the security codes for battery replacement, make sure you follow the instructions in the owners manual to avoid locking it up.
