Chevrolet Repair: Car problems, empty gas tank, fuel pump relay

Question
I recently got my fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel filter changed.  The car seemed good to go but I now have the following problems: 1.The fuel gage works when its cold then when the car warms up it goes to empty and the get gas indicator comes on; 2.When I press down on the gas to rev it up, it goes so far(up to about 3.5 rpm)than the car muffler starts to sputter and the engine seems like it hesitates, almost like it wants to jerk alsoit won'tgo past 3.5 rpm and it it jumps from 2-3.5rpm.  As well when I was driving today, I came to a corner than as I went my car shut off, the oil and battery light came on.  I waited for a few minutes than the car started and I made it home.  It nows starts fine but am scared to go anywhere because my car might stop.  What are my options, what can I do or is my car just not good anymore.  It's a 2003 Chev Cavalier.  Thanks.

Answer
1.The fuel gage works when its cold then when the car warms up it goes to empty and the get gas indicator comes on;
The in tank float may have been damaged during installation. The float has probably half filled with gas and floats in the beginning but as soon as the car is moved or vibrated enough, the float in the tank sinks to the bottom showing an empty gas tank.

2.When I press down on the gas to rev it up, it goes so far(up to about 3.5 rpm)than the car muffler starts to sputter and the engine seems like it hesitates, almost like it wants to jerk alsoit won'tgo past 3.5 rpm and it it jumps from 2-3.5rpm.

Is your check engine light on?

The lights coming on are normal when the engine dies. But it sounds like the engine isnt idling where it should be. Again I have to ask if the check engine light is on and at what rpm is it idling at?

What are my options, what can I do or is my car just not good anymore.
