Chevrolet Repair: 2002 zr2 4x4, extended cab, battery voltage, fuel pump


Question
I Have had this truck for 3 months and some Mornings it doesn't want to start. It will turn over.... I wait and try again..and then it will go...I Had it at the dealer for reapairs to the 3 rd. door and told them..they said keep an eye on it..ya right..something needs to fixed..lol..

Hi Sue, This sounds like a bad fuel pump to me. In the morning the battery voltage is at it's lowest and the fuel pump will only put out so much pressure at this time. Well that presure is too low and the injectors need more to spray fuel to start the engine. Yes I know too much to handle right. I have seen this before, the fuel pump is almost always the problem.
