Chevrolet Repair: 98 Blazer hesitation/stutter, quick solution, distributor cap

Question
Both times it was put on the disgnostic the techs told me it was a random misfire code. The second time they actually told me that they tried to pin point it and couldnt. After this last plug and cap replacement the engine light went off but comes back on now and then and it drove fine for a week or so. As before the stutter is starting to return. I know there is a problem with this distributor and moisture (i read this on the box of the new cap) and I didnt know if this was the cause of my problems or if its something else. -------------------------------------------

Hi. I have been having this hesitation/stutter problem for over a year now. I took it to a garage and put on the diagnostic. Was told it needed plugs/wires and cap & rotor replaced. Replaced all of these and had no problems for about 2 weeks. Now the problem has reurned. Engine light stays on. Took it to another garage and was told the same. I replaced all again and within 2 weeks it is starting to stutter again. Any ideas at all would be helpful.

What are the codes in the computer telling you?

Answer
If there is moisture in the distributor cap, it will definitely cause a misfire and the check engine light will come on showing a misfire. There is a quick solution though,
I believe the parts store sells a spray that you can spray inside the cap to stop moisture from building up.
