Chevrolet Repair: 92 Cavalier wont start., car stalls, turning the key

I was going down the street the other day and my car just shut off and wouldn't start back up. Pushed it into the parking lot. still no go. Left it there, went back 3hrs later. It fired right up. Drove it home, shut it off it started right back up. 1 hour later it wouldn't start. It turns over good but will not start. fuel pump works, I've changed the fuel filter. Yesterday a friend gave me a jump start and it fired right up but shut off about 15 seconds later. PLEASE HELP! also had the battery fully charged.

While the car is running listen closely to hear the fuel pump. If it stops humming just before the car stalls, you have found the problem.

Hint:the fuel pump should kick on for a second or two after turning the key on regardless of how long the car has been running.
