Chevrolet Repair: fuel pump, test port, throttle bodies

Question
how do you check the fuel pressure?
im not getting gas to the throttle body.i did change the filter and no help.

Answer
Hi Jeff,
First off, listen for the pump to run. It is inside the fuel tank, and when the key is turned to run, the pump should buzz, or humm for about two to three seconds.
If you don't hear that, then check the fuse.

You didn't give any information about what you are working on, other than the term throttle body.
Testing the fuel pressure on a Chevy throttle body system is just a little hard, compared to a MPFI system, because the MPFI has a test port. On all the throttle bodies I have seen, you need to get an adapter to go into the fuel line.
But the pressure should be about 13 PSI.
