Chevrolet Repair: starter problems when hot, coolant temperature sensor, mass airflow sensor

Question
I have a 1995 blazer with a starting problem when it is hot sometimes.  I have replaced the starter each of the last three years when the wheather starts to get hot.  I don't have a problem with starting in the cold months, only when it starts to get warm out.  I have had the blazer to the dealer numerus times over the last two years and they can't seam to find anything wrong with the blazer.

Answer
Hi Bill,
I recommend testing the coolant temperature sensor. It can give a false reading, and cause the ecm to add too much fuel, which may be flooding it.

If that doesn't help, look at this one for cleaning the mass airflow sensor.

Yep, it is a Ford site....but the MAF sensors work the same, and that is a good description.

And then, this is a great site for S10 owners.
