hi astro with 4.3 vortec 1997 fuel pump good fuel filter good good pressure from pump up to engine but will not fire and dosnt flood no sign of gas in throttle body put thimble of gas down throttle body and engine started briefly is it a sensor it was starting really hard for a week then acted like it ran out of gas on road half a mile from the house lucky me and wont start now

Answer
Hello Jason,
Without testing the fuel pressure, you can't say it is good enough.
It MUST hold 13 to 14 PSI at the throttle body when running.
The injectors are only solenoid valves, and need the pressure to force fuel thru them when they open.

If you have 13 PSI, then the ECM may not be pulsing the injectors, or the injector fuse is blown. See if power is getting to the injectors. Should be battery voltage when the key is in run.
