Chevrolet Repair: Brakes Drag 93 Beretta ABS light on, rear brakes, car rocks

Question
I just purchased a 93 Beretta that has been wrecked it has minor rear end damage.  When I drove it home the ABS light came on and the brakes were dragging there isnt and damage to the wheels or anything like that the only thing that happen in the accident was the rear lights were broken and the bumber bolts were broken on 1 side causing the bumper to hang offone side and the drivers corner of the car is dented.  I was wondering if you have any ideas on what could be causing the grapping?  When I first tried to move the car is wouldnt hardly go at all so i applied and released the emer brake a few times and that was a little better but they grab while you are driving the car but if you hit the brakes hard the car rocks so it seems to be kind of a mild grab.  If you can help me with info in any way i would apperciate it.  Thanks Sheena

Answer
Hi Sheena, The ABS light has nothing to do with the dragging brakes. I would look at maybe a bad caliper in the front brakes. The rear brakes could just be a bad e-brake cable holding the shoes on to the drums. You'll need to lift the wheels off the groung to locate which one you need to look at. You should be able to spin the wheel some what easy when it is off the ground, if not there is a problem with it!!

Have a Great Day
