Chevrolet Repair: 87 3.6Ltr V6 no spark, chevy blazer, coil wire

Hello Mark. My brother has an 87 Chevy Blazer with a V-6 -3.6 L I think. It is not getting spark to plugs. Coil was changed - no help. I am familiar with mechanics  a bit -can you advise me on a procedure to troubleshoot this?

Hi Paul, Test for spark at the coil with the coil wire OFF the coil. Crank the engine and you should have sparks coming out the coil. If this is good then the coil wire or dist cap and rotor are bad. If you don't have any spark coming out the coil then the dist pick up coil or ignition module are bad.
