Chevrolet Repair: Chevy windshield wiper, chevy silverado 2500hd, windshield wiper arm

Question
I am having trouble removing the whole windshield wiper arm so that i can re-attach the spring.

I have taken off the cover cap and the not, but there must be something else, any ideas?

it is a 2004 chevy silverado 2500HD 6.0 V8 2WD

Hi Matt,
It is a taper fit, and sometimes can stick. I have a little tool that sticks two fingers under the end of the arm, and then squeezes down in the end of the threaded bolt, kinda like sticking two fingers under it and squeezing with your thumb.
Some kind of prying bar, with a rag to protect the paint, and then tap on the end of the bolt might do it. I would probably put the nut back on, but just have it loose, to protect the threads, and use a plastic hammer while applying some prying pressure if I just had to get it off without a tool.
A truck that new, I would probably go find a little gear puller or a wiper arm tool.
