Chevrolet Repair: 99 Lumina Bucking, chevy lumina, steve the cat

Question
I have a 99 Chevy Lumina that recently has begun to "buck" and hesitate when I step on the accelerator.  When this happens I can not go faster than 10 mph.  I have replaced the air filter, fuel filter and added fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank.  A local repair shop said the OBDII codes were for the MAF Sensor and Catalytic Converter (Under threshold).
I'm not convinced that either of these will fix the problem.  Can you help?

Answer
Hi Steve, the cat- con can cause this problem but it won't go away so you could drive the car. It would be there all the time. Check your ignition coils where the plug wires go on for corrosion. To check the MAF you can just disconnect it and drive it.

Hope this help
