Chevrolet Repair: 1994 chevy blazer problems, chevy s10 blazer, fuel pressure regulator

Question
i have a 1994 chevy s10 blazer tahoe lt series 4x4 with the 4.3 vortec engine and i have three problems i need help on if you could help i would appericate it

1. the anti lock brake light is on in the dash and when i come to a stop light/sign the anti lock brake light goes out and before it goes out the parking brake light comes on with it for about 5 seconds then they both go out. then when i start moving again it comes back on and every once i awhile i hear a grinding noise (from the drivers front where the brake booster cluster is) when i hit the brakes and the pedal is stiff but i don't stop so i have to let off the brakes and try it again and their fine for a couple more times then it does it again could it be the box up front where all the brake lines go into? or what

2. when starting cold i have a surguring idle normal then real low where it almost dies then revs backs up and keeps on doing this until it warms up after its warmed up its fine and runs good. could it be a fuel pressure regulator?

3. the temp gauge on my dash is peg on hot weather i just start when its cold or its already warmed up then every so often it will fluxurate but always stay hot the check gauges light stays on cause of this buy when it fluxurates it goes out for about a second then right back on but it doen't go out very often its normally peg on hot. could this be a sign of the temp sender going bad?

I have replaced according to what my scanner said the egr valve, map sensor, and the tps sensor and i changed the roughness of it but it still surges and no codes come up for the engine or the brakes and im afraid to drive it with the brakes like they are cause you don't know when the brakes are going to act up so if you could help me out i would appericate it thank you in advanced

Answer
Hi Ken, The ABS problem is most likely the front wheel speed sensors. I can't tell you left or right but one is bad. I would replace both of them to repair this problem.

The problem with the idle is either the upper intake gasket is bad or the fuel pressure regulator. To test this spray carb cleaner around the upper intake gasket
(engine running) and see if the idle changes. If it does the gasket is not good.

The gage problem could be a bad sending unit or the wire is grounded out. To test, disconnect the sender and the gage should go to cold, if it does replace the sending unit.

Hope this helps
