Chevrolet Repair: 2000 Chevy S-10 ABS problems, dashboard lights, wheel bearings

Question
Dashboard lights for ABS and the parking brake are on-again / off-again.  They can come on (and stay on) just after starting or after any amount of driving, or some days they won't.  A local Chevrolet dealer ran the codes and advised it was the left front sensor (which is in the wheel bearing).  Being it's a Chevy S-10, I've had wheel bearings and ball joints repeatedly replaced, and luckily the left front bearing was under warranty from another shop.  I had that bearing replaced yesterday, and the dashboard lights came back on last night.  I'd had ABS problems in the past with other vehicles, but had never seen both the ABS and the parking brake lights on together...just the ABS light...so why would an ABS problem trigger the parking brake light?  Is it not sensor-related?  After dumping thousands in repairs over the past 5 years on this junk, I'm about ready to send it off a cliff, but that's not an option right now...I need to trade it in (obviously not for another Chevy), but I need to get the ABS issue resolved first, lest I get even more hosed on what I get for a trade-in.  Any suggestions?  Thanks...

Answer
Hello Doug,
I think the parking brake light is totally related only to the parking break pedal switch.

As for the sensor, if you had that many ball joints and bearings replaced, it is possible that sometime or other, something hung on the wire to the sensor, and may have pulled it loose, where it sometimes makes contact, and sometimes doesn't. I would take a good close look at the wires, in a dark area, using a good light.
