Chevrolet Repair: S-10 1998 Electrical problem, fusible links, electrical problem

Our Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with Vortec 4.3, driven 90tml, has an electrical problem. When started, battery warning light on dash is on and volt gauge shows under 12 V. Otherwise car works normally. We change new alternator but it did not help. The problem is a mystery.

Check the fusible link in the wire from the alternator "Batt" terminal, to the battery positive post.
There are about three fusible links, but the one that may be your problem is probably blue, in a red wire. There may be two blue fuse links in red wires, so look closely.
Check that BATT terminal on the alternator with the engine off. There should be battery voltage there.
